Coming to Vancouver Island straight from Jaipur India, this experience will be freshly loaded with inspiration. In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be introducing and discussing the qualities of Indian Miniature Painting and the traditional techniques and materials that are still used today. You will gain understanding of the process involved in creating a painting, experience meditation as the foundation of the art-form, and discover the essential element of devotion. You will try your hand at painting classical Indian line work with the single-hair brush, find access to the neutral mind through meditation techniques, and will be able to sample authentic handmade paints and brushes as gifted by the royal artists of Jaipur City Palace.
This workshop is a pose by pose exploration of the Primary Series, using detailed technical instruction to illuminate the insightful patterns that exist within multiple layers of the Ashtanga Vinyasa structure.
