This morning immersion of the Primary Series is designed as a way to sequentially workshop the postures of the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence, unraveling the structure of the practice and the principles of asana methodology, while experiencing energetic alignment and using the body as a way to explore the mind.
This pose by pose exploration will give detailed technical instruction, illuminating the insightful patterns that exist within multiple layers of the Ashtanga Vinyasa structure, bringing life into every single movement and allowing for a fresh perspective of familiar postures.
This opportunity is designed for students familiar with Ashtanga Yoga, or with a regular yoga asana practice, to gain deeper understanding of how postures are designed to connect with specific movements, breath work, eye focus and body locks, and how these components all work together to lead to a deep experiential meditative process.
Only $50 inc GST for the workshop.
Designed as part 1 of a 2-day workshop, participants are encouraged to sign up to the corresponding Primary Series Led Class and Self-Practice Yoga Philosophy workshop on Sunday November 26th, to increase the benefits of the immersion and connect the teachings into a rounded practice.
